Loving Me So I can Love You

Loving Me So I can Love You

Receiving Love to Love Our Family

Loving Me

Loving Me First So I Can Love You?

Seems strange and selfish to talk about  loving ourselves first.  As moms our natural tendency is to love our children before ourselves.  So ‘Loving Me’ seems out of place.

However, we all have met people in our lives that unfortunately don’t see their own value or dislike themselves.  Those same people have a hard time being loving or focusing on others… because we can’t give what we don’t have . We can’t express what we haven’t experienced.

Tough parenting days are days when we feel inadequate and maybe are angry at ourselves.   It really reflects on how we treat our kids.  We need Love. For their sake.

Receive Love For You

Love for our kids and family can only start when we love ourselves. We can only love ourselves when we receive love.

love others

We must know true love so we can share it with our kids.  In turn, they will love themselves. And they can grow confident and secure in love.

The more we love ourselves, flaws and all, the more we can express the same love and grace to our families.  We will be able to see them beyond their flaws and accept and love them as they are.

LOVE-YOU

You Are Loved.  So Love Who You Are.

You are loved with an eternal, perfect and everlasting Love.

That Love will bring you peace and contentment and fill your heart to love.  To love with patience, with kindness, selflessly… for yourself and others.

Love Who You Are. You were made with loving care to fulfill a purpose only you can.  Look beyond your flaws.

What does true love look like?

A Love that is pure, patient, kind, humble, pure, selfless, that holds no grudges and holds no records of wrongs.

Love that is freely given; grace for our mistakes and hope for our future.

full-of-love

Receive Love that is freely given

The more love we receive, the more peace we have to interact with our children.

Once your heart is full and satisfied you can give freely to your family and others.

Receive grace for your mistakes.

Give yourself grace for your flaws.

As you accept and love who you are, you are able to give grace to your kids & spouse for their mistakes and shortcomings.

give-grace

Let Love fill you with Hope for your future.

Hope that everyday love will fill your heart and overcome those areas of impatience, anger or selfishness.

  • How very true that mothers often forget to take the time to “love” themselves. I agree that by loving yourself will influence how your child gives and receives love, and over time I think will have a positive effect on their self esteem. Thanks for linking up at Mum-bo Monday

  • Such a wonderful and positive message and reminder to us all. I had to learn to love myself a few years ago and it was the best thing I ever did because it forever changed my life! I have to remind myself all of the time that I am a work in progress and it’s okay not to be perfect! 😉
