In these days, I am thankful for today. I’m thankful for everything! The BIG and little blessings that our family enjoys everyday.

Through the seasons, I have found that thankfulness leads us away from selfishness and away from fear.

Gratefulness leads us to peace even though in the midst of hard circumstances it seems harder to be thankful – much harder!

A few years ago, my little one taught me to be thankful. Thankful for what? Thankful for the little things. It was a lesson that I do not want to forget!

She helped me see that all the little blessings that happen everyday and we take for granted: the fresh air we can breathe, the clean water we can drink, the toys our kids have to play with, the warm bed to lay down at night, the God given provision that we have to eat.

Ever since then, I try and remember and be thankful for today. This year I’m so thankful for life and health for myself and for all of my family.

We are thankful that the Lord provided even in the midst of crisis. And I’m so very thankful for the technology that allows us to keep in touch from far away.
