DECIDING TO HOMESCHOOL
If you are considering homeschooling, because of health reasons, or school closures, or moving out of the country, the best advice is to carefully weigh the pros and cons.
Even though homeschooling is not easy, it really benefits the kids and the family. You get to spend time with your kids and the family unit only gets stronger. I had never considered the possibility to homeschool but then it got close to the time to send my first to school. I realized I wouldn’t see my child all week. It felt like I was sending her off to full time job. School would be from 7:45 A.M. to 3 P.M. Monday through Friday. My child would be gone 7 hours a day!
Now, we have been homeschooling for over 6 years and wouldn’t go back for the world. Unless, circumstances change, we will keep homeschooling all of our children.

BEFORE CHOOSING A CURRICULUM
Before you dive into choosing a curriculum, the first you need to know what your child needs to learn for the grade at hand. Even though in homeschooling there are no ‘official’ grades, it’s super important to have goals and know the general skill set to aim for the age of your child.

Fun & Easy way to learn SIGHT Words.
Even though every family’s needs are different. thru the years I have found one thing we all have in common:
Homeschool moms are strapped for time and coming up with a daily or weekly plan can be overwhelming!
BOX CURRICULUM OR UNIT STUDIES
If you are strapped for time, you can purchase a box curriculum that generally has all the subjects in one ‘box’ with a teacher’s guide plus reading lists.
Unit Studies generally are more hands on and are cross-curricular. These don’t generally come in a ‘box’ but you mix and match.
Here are our some of our most popular Unit Studies:
